A little history

Our Story

Six years ago, an American nomad executing Bloomberg trades in a bikini locked eyes with a British hotelier scouting his next site while staying in a hostel. A bonfire on the beach, one electric kiss, and a follow-up trip to Baja, Mexico just three days later — we had no idea what journey we were about to embark on.

That first year, we did long distance from California to England, meeting in twelve different countries along the way. Whether we were cooking fish on the beaches of Mexico or sailing around the Caribbean, the destination never really mattered — we just loved adventuring together.

We quickly discovered that our love language was experiencing the world together. Over the past six years, we've visited sixty-five countries between us, from the DRC to Singapore, in pursuit of our slightly ridiculous goal to visit every country in the world. It's a lofty one — but luckily, we'll have a lifetime to try.

While traditional gifts like plates and cups are always appreciated, the most meaningful gift for us would be helping us continue that bigger adventure. Our gift list is really about contributing towards the experiences, stays, and memories that will help us discover more of the world and tick off the countries still waiting for us.

So please, pick which country you'd like to send us to next.

Thank you for being part of our journey. For all the countries, flights, boats, beaches and years spent living out of a carry-on, somewhere along the way England became home. We can't wait to share it with you.

Kate Moss, Russell Crowe and Ronnie Wood have all visited over the years — and in 2016, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall's son James got married here, with the whole Jagger clan (Mick included) rolling up to celebrate.

Getting there

Travel & Staying Nearby

Cornwell Manor sits in the Cotswolds, in Oxfordshire — easiest reached by car, with rail options into the surrounding villages.

By car

Self-drive

Chipping Norton is roughly 1.5–2 hours from London, and easily reached from Oxford, Birmingham, and the M40. On-site parking will be available — details to follow.

By train

Nearest stations

Kingham and Moreton-in-Marsh are the closest mainline stations, both on the Cotswold Line from London Paddington, with onward taxis into Chipping Norton and Cornwell.

By air

Nearest airports

Birmingham Airport and London Heathrow are the most convenient for guests flying in, each around 1–2 hours' drive from the venue.

Where to Stay

We'd love for everyone to make a weekend of it. Cornwell Manor sits just outside Chipping Norton, with some of our favourite Cotswolds villages, pubs and hotels nearby.

Daylesford & Kingham

For the full Cotswolds experience, we recommend staying around Daylesford or Kingham. Think beautiful cottages, country pubs, long lunches and very easy access to the wedding.

  • The Wild Rabbit — a gorgeous country inn in Kingham, with rooms and cottages dotted around the surrounding villages.
  • The Fox — another lovely Daylesford pub with rooms, in the surrounding villages.
  • Daylesford Cottages — perfect for families or groups of friends who would like to stay together. Daylesford has a collection of cottages across Kingham, Daylesford and the surrounding countryside.
Our Daylesford room block will open at the end of October. We'll add booking details here as soon as reservations are released.
Soho Farmhouse

For anyone who wants to turn the weekend into a mini holiday, Soho Farmhouse is a beautiful nearby option in Great Tew.

You can stay here if you're already a Soho House member, or by joining Soho Friends for £135 per year, which also includes a discount on bedroom bookings.

Rooms are limited, so we recommend booking early if this is where you'd like to stay.
Chipping Norton

Chipping Norton is the easiest base for the weekend and has a mix of hotels, pubs and rental cottages.

For a straightforward and more affordable option, Premier Inn Chipping Norton is a good choice.
For Groups

There are also lots of lovely cottages and larger houses throughout Kingham, Chipping Norton, Great Tew and the surrounding villages, which can work especially well for groups of friends travelling together.

We recommend staying from Friday through Monday if you can — there will be plenty happening throughout the weekend.

Transport information and recommended taxi options will be added closer to the wedding.

FAQ

What should I wear?

For the wedding day, gentlemen are asked to wear morning suits.

For ladies, the dress code is garden formal — no dark colours, please.

For the rest of the weekend, think Cotswolds garden-party elegant — full details for each event to follow, and it's worth packing footwear that can handle grass and gravel.

What is a morning suit, and where do I get one?

A morning suit is traditional British daytime formalwear — a grey or dark tailcoat, worn with striped trousers, a waistcoat, and a tie. Most gentlemen hire rather than buy, and any of the following can sort you out with a proper fitting:

  • Neal & Palmer, Piccadilly Arcade — probably the nicest fit for the look we're going for; they specialise in morning suits and have a large formalwear selection.
  • Oliver Brown, Chelsea — very classic British morning dress; hire runs around £120 for the coat and trousers, or roughly £165–£185 with a waistcoat.
  • Moss Bros, Holborn (and branches nationwide) — less bespoke, but very convenient for a big group; a full morning suit hire is typically £169–£199.
  • Cookham Formal Wear — a great option if you're not London-based; they cover Oxfordshire as well, with proper fittings and delivery/returns.

Where should I stay if I'm arriving early?

If you're coming into London ahead of the weekend, we'd recommend staying at Second Nature — it's Rob's hotel. Message us and we'll sort you out with a discount code.

Are children welcome?

We love your little ones, but with the exception of immediate family, we've kept the day adults-only. Thank you for understanding!

Can I bring a plus-one?

Your invitation will indicate who's included in your party. When you RSVP, you may be able to enter a plus-one's name, but it won't be confirmed unless they're specifically addressed on your invitation — do get in touch if you have any questions.

Do you have any dietary requirements to know about?

We'll ask for these when you RSVP, so we can make sure everyone's well looked after.

Gifts?

Your being there means the world to us. If you'd still like to give something, please see our registry — it's all about helping us get to the next country on our list.

This is just an initial heads-up — a formal invitation with full RSVP details will follow closer to the day. For now, popping in your name and a quick yes / no / maybe helps us start planning.
